Patternation for Consumer Trigger Sprays 

For consumer sprays (examples being hair sprays, deodorants, etc.), it is very important that the nozzle delivers the product with no voids or streaks in them.  En'Urga Inc. evaluated a series of consumer product spray nozzles using the SETScan patternator for Proctor and Gamble.  The challenge in the project was that patternation of the spray had to be obtained within 100 ms, the typical time a customer uses these consumer spray products.  En'Urga Inc. designed and developed a robotic consumer spray testing station, with solenoid valves to provide precisely metered sprays.  This in conjunction with the SETScan, provided 100 patternations of the spray in the 100 ms, providing detailed and converged statistics on the performance of the spray nozzle.
