Hot Metal Sensor

En'Urga Inc. designed and fabricated a hot metal sensor for Pohang Steel and Iron Company. The sensor is used to determine the presence of a hot metal plate during forming operations. The hot metal is normally shrouded by a thick cloud of water vapor and combustion products.  Conventional techniques were not able to correctly determine the presence or absence of the hot metal plate at the forming station.  En'Urga Inc. researched, designed, developed, evaluated, and delivered the product to Pohang Steel and Iron Company as a turnkey project.
