Coating Film Thickness Estimation for Plastic Film

En’Urga Inc. developed an on-line coating thickness monitor for 3M.  En’Urga Inc. designed and developed a high sensitivity, high speed, mid-infrared line-scan camera for the project.  The camera is currently marketed by Spectraline Inc.  Defects as small as ½ inch in diameter in the coating quality of the plastic film were obtained on line, for a web moving in excess of 200 ft/min.
